Menu Planner

At first, when putting this together, I tried to make up a menu plan that included what meals to prepare, etc. Then I realized that many people would not find it helpful because their tastes would differ from mine. So, instead, here is a menu planning worksheet to print out and write on. Refer to the many recipes, snacks and microwave dinners listed on this site and plan out your week. It is VERY IMPORTANT to plan out what you will eat or else you will surely slip up. It is also important, in my experience, to surround yourself with snacks and foods that you CAN eat. I would also recommend getting rid of foods that are not allowed on the diet (if at all possible). If I have chocolate in the house, I cannot resist it, so I have to make sure temptations are not around.

What I usually do is plan what I will eat for the week on a day when I have some time (usually Saturday). I look at recipes and try to pick two or more new recipes to try for the week and then rest of the food is stuff I have prepared or bought before. Then I plan out the week, make a shopping list and go to the grocery store the next day (usually Sunday). You may want to do something different, this is just what I do. I find that this is the only way I can stick with my (allergy free) diet. If I don't plan things out, I usually don't get the right groceries and then will have to eat out or eat at school, where nothing is "allowed" on my diet.
